Twin Lakes Day 2

Got up in time for a great breakfast of pancakes & bacon cooked by Don. Then it was on to enjoy the beautiful day at the lake. First Don, Connor and I tookthe pontoon out to check on the Bald Eagles and the Loons. The Bald Eagles have two fledglings this year and there are at least two families of Loons.

While on the lake we were informed that brother Dave and old family friend Ron Garrett had arrived for a visitt. I hadn't seen Ron for over ten years so it was great to catch up on our lives.

After another pontoon ride we sat by the lake talking and watching the activitiy on the lake.

Chef Nate's special treat for dinner was Cabernet Burgers cooked on his new ultra high tech/low tech Weber charcol grill. They are made with a red wine reduction sauce and tasted fantastic with the grilled asparagus, grilled tomatos and roasted potatos. With a cabernet sauvignon of course.
